Drowning Prevention

Last year, 400 Canadians drowned. A shocking statistic the Lifesaving Society of BC & Yukon wanted to draw awareness to. We helped highlight the dangers of drowning with a poignant display using something we all associate with fun times at the beach – towels. On a hot summer’s day, at a popular BC beach, we laid out 400 towels, each representing a Canadian who never returned from the water.
